What We Do
The Radical Imagination Lab partners with organizations to envision and prototype equitable futures for all. Our touchstone is speculative design - creative approaches that visualize possibilities beyond status quo realities. These imaginative futures, inspired by sci-fi, fantasy, film and art, use speculative storytelling to stretch perspectives. By questioning "what could be?", they provoke expanded mindsets, spark fresh ideas and catalyze daring dreams that can shape transformative change.At the center of our work is Ruda Benjamin’s invitation “to imagine and craft the worlds we cannot live without, just as we dismantle the ones we cannot live within.” Radical imagination breaches the limits of current systems, policies and beliefs. Alongside our partners, we dream into alternate presents and futures where reinvented worlds resolve today's social and environmental crises. With optimistic rigor guided by justice, we build immersive models of alternate realities. These tangible visions offer radical inspiration for those committed to what is beautiful and life-giving.

Who We Are
Tracee Worley, Founder
As founder of the Radical Imagination Lab, Tracee Worley is a consummate worldbuilder - designing immersive portals to galvanize collective hope for transformed tomorrows. Her kaleidoscopic career fuels visionary creation at the intersection of design, storytelling, social education and futurism.Tracee's passion is in activating communities to dream defiantly - hacking status quos and co-authoring richly conceived futures where equity and sustainability let all beings thrive. She infuses her Afrofuturist-inspired experiences with play and celebration, while challenging audiences to manifest bold justice.Tracee studied Learning Technology and Experience Design at NYU, Social Work at Columbia University, and African-American Studies at UC Berkeley.
